Rates & Policies

Goldsby Water Authority has approved a rate increase for residential and commercial customers beginning June 1, 2021.  The increase is necessary due to :

•  Rates not being increased in over 6 years, the cost of producing water exceeds revenues.

•  New Water Treatment Plant operation, the cost of operation includes new water wells, loan payback, and increased production.

•  Increased production increases as water use increases.  Goldsby's growth increases annually at a rate of 3.2% and has increased  39.98% since 2010.

•  Maintenance for the new water treatment plant, it is necessary to establish a depreciation account for future repairs and   maintenance.
